On July 20, 2026, the European Commission published Guidelines on the implementation of the transparency obligations for certain AI systems under Article 50 of the AI Act. This document aims to serve as practical guidance for providers and deployers of AI systems, as well as competent authorities, and to ensure compliance with the transparency obligations in a consistent, effective, proportionate, and uniform manner.

The European Commission, by its Opinion of July 8, and the AI Board, by its Assessment of July 9, confirmed the adequacy of the Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-generated content to cover the obligations provided for in Articles 50(2), (4) and (5) of the AI Act and facilitate their effective implementation. Previously, on June 9, the Commission published the final version of this Code.

After being approved by the Council on June 29, the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulations (EU) 2024/1689, (EU) 2018/1139 and (EU) 2023/1230 as regards the simplification of the implementation of harmonised rules on artificial intelligence (Digital Omnibus on AI) was finally adopted. The Regulation will be published in the EU’s official journal shortly and will enter into force on the third day after this publication
Republic of Serbia
The new Law on Consumer Protection was published in the “Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia” no. 35 of April 23, 2026. year, and enters into force on the eighth day from the day of its publication. The Law will be applied after three months from the date of its entry into force, except for Article 4, paragraph 1, which regulates the scope of application of the Law and Article 6, which imposes an obligation on the trader to display the price of goods or services in the prescribed manner, which begin to be applied with the entry into force of the Law.
